Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data VerifyRERA collects when you contact us or download a RERA dossier, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We follow the principles of India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act).

Who we are

VerifyRERA publishes independent analysis of publicly available RERA registration records. When you submit an enquiry or request a dossier, we act as the data fiduciary for the details you provide.

What we collect

We only collect what you choose to give us and the minimum needed to serve and secure the request:

• Contact details you enter — your mobile number (required to send the dossier and follow up), and optionally your name and email address.
• Enquiry context — which project or builder dossier you requested, so we can help you meaningfully.
• Technical/security data — IP address, browser user-agent and the referring page, used only to prevent abuse of the download form and to keep the service reliable.

We do not collect financial account details, government identity numbers, or any special-category data through this site.

Why we use it (purpose)

• To generate and deliver the RERA dossier you asked for.
• To contact you about that enquiry — for example, to help you verify title and RERA standing, benchmark the price, or negotiate with the builder.
• To protect the service against automated abuse and to comply with law.

We process your contact details on the basis of the consent you give when you tick the box on the form. You can withdraw that consent at any time (see “Your rights” below); withdrawing it is as easy as giving it.

Marketing & communications

If we call, message or email you, it will be about the enquiry you raised or closely related help. We do not sell your details, and we do not add you to unrelated marketing lists. Any promotional messaging complies with applicable TRAI regulations, and you can opt out at any time.

Sharing

We do not sell or rent your personal data. We may share it only with service providers who help us operate (for example, hosting or messaging tools) under confidentiality obligations, or where required by law. The government source documents we link to are public records hosted by the respective RERA authority.

Retention

We keep enquiry details only as long as needed to help you and for a reasonable period afterwards for our records, after which they are deleted or anonymised. If you ask us to erase your data sooner, we will, unless we are legally required to keep it.

Cookies

We use a single functional cookie after you download a dossier so that returning to a dossier does not ask you to re-enter your details. We use privacy-respecting analytics to understand aggregate usage. We do not use advertising cookies.

Your rights under the DPDP Act

You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or completed, to have it erased, to withdraw consent, and to grievance redressal. To exercise any of these, contact us using the details below and we will respond within a reasonable time.
